Why Get a Home Inspection?

If you are buying a home in Long Island Or Queens you need to know exactly what you are getting. It does not matter if you are buying or selling a home, you should have a professional home inspection.
Avoid Buyer's Remorse
*       You should require a home inspection at the time you make an offer.
*       Make sure the contract has a home inspection contingency.
*       Then, hire your own home inspector and pay close attention to the home inspection report.
*       If you are not comfortable with what the home inspector  finds, you should endl the deal.
Inspection for Home Sellers
At best, surprise problems uncovered by the buyer’s Home inspector will cause delays in closing, and usually you will have to pay for repairs at the last minute, or take a lower price on your home. It's better to pay for your own home inspection before putting your house on the market. Find out about any hidden problems and correct them in advance. Otherwise, you can count on the buyer’s home inspector finding them, at the worst possible time.
Problems to Look For
A home inspection, performed by a professional home inspector, will reveal any hidden problems with the home so that they may be addressed BEFORE the deal is closed:
*       Structural elements, foundation, framing, etc.
*       Plumbing systems
*       Roofing
*       Electrical systems
*       Cosmetic condition, paint, siding, etc
